Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
Well, 2020 is officially over and I’m pretty sure that most people are glad to see it gone. It was an interesting year to say the least, and although I am happy to ring in a new year, there are some good things that happened over the last year. I developed much more clarity as to what I want in the future. A lot of time spent in silence revealed many things that I needed to see with both myself and the world around me. I became a published author within a book collaboration that revolves around experiences in 2020. So without the last year, that would not have happened.
I’ve spent a good many years working in the fitness industry, and while I do not work in it full time anymore, this time of year has always been the same. We make resolutions with steadfast commitment, only to have them fall by the wayside within a few months, or even a few weeks. For some, maybe even a few hours or days. These resolutions are usually superficial in nature. Maybe we vow to lose weight, or eat healthier, or quit some vice that we may have. And while the intentions are good, the goal is often not met. But maybe what we need to focus on is the intention itself. If I want to lose weight or eat better, maybe the resolution shouldn’t be the weight itself, but the internal “thing” that will get me to that goal. Like developing will-power. Or focusing on commitment. Or practicing patience and dedication. With that being said, what’s your internal focus as we move into a new year? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
