F.A.Q.’s

F.A.Q.:

How do I prep for my session?

You will need to shave and exfoliate the day or night before your session of in order to ensure that your PH is balanced for your session and color absorbs evenly. Exfoliating can also be done several days prior. Think of it as a clean, dry canvas. Skin needs to be dry and free of all lotions, perfumes, deodorant, etc. Freshly washed, shaved and exfoliated skin or skin with lotion on it will not absorb the color properly and cannot be guaranteed! Please do your prep enough in advance for your best color result. *this is not to be done right before your session.

Where will we tan in my home?

Anywhere that can accommodate a 6 foot tanning tent and has an electrical outlet nearby.  Most clients find their kitchens, bathrooms or laundry rooms to be easiest for them.

I’ve seen/heard/had tanning horror stories and am scared to be orange!

Only the highest quality products are used. This product has no alcohol in it and will not react to the skin. Our consultation will determine the best level to match your skin. “Orange” spray tans are usually the result of a non-professional solution with high alcohol content, a solution level that is not compatible to the client’s skin or application by a tan tech without proper training or experience.  You will have none of that with this service.

How long does it take to dry?

The recommended time to wait before bathing is 6-8 hours, however, the solution will be dry much sooner than that.  Most people are comfortable in loose clothing after 15-30 minutes.  Some clients choose to leave the solution on for longer periods of time.  It is recommended to not exceed 24 hours.  There are options to be sprayed with a “fast drying solution”, but keep in mind that a rapid solution with a 1-3 hour drying time is composed of alcohol and will not give the same result or fade as well as an oil based organic solution.
